President Trump's personal attorney has a message for all the haters: he has many black friends.

Or at least he's taken a picture next to many black people.

Pretty much everyone in the Trump administration came under fire last night after the president doubled down on Hong Kong Movies | Adult Movies Onlinehis belief that "both sides" were responsible for violence grown out of the Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally over the weekend.

Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, decided to fight back on Wednesday with the classic "I have black friends" defense and tweeted a photo montage of himself with smiling people of color.

Oh, Michael. No.

"As the son of a holocaust survivor, I have no tolerance for #racism," Cohen said, making sure to add that special #hashtag. "Just because I support @POTUS @realDonaldTrump doesn't make me a racist."

And then his proof:

The "I can't be a racist, I have black friends debunked" was technically debunked in the B.C.E. But since Michael Cohen is less woke than all my seven uncles combined, let's refresh the argument.

People of color are not a monolith. Just because you don't think you're a racist, doesn't make you not a racist. You can have friends of color and still hold a racist worldview or engage in racist practices.

New York Magazine's Washington Correspondent Olivia Nuzzi tried to challenge Cohen on the photo. Just look at how well that went.

You can't photo collage your way out of racism, Michael Cohen, but you can just resign.
